	<description>Issued from April 1934 for wear on the lapel of civilian clothes, this eagle is the Army version, because it was originally silver plated. Much of the plating has rubbed off the front, to reveal the badge is copper, with silver plating. Stamped construction, with only one of the two pins remaining. Not maker marked. 20mm (0.79 in) wide by 25mm (0.98 in) high. Please do not bid on this item if you live in a country that prohibits the import of such items. 	<description>1914 Iron Cross Second Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1914) unmounted. Iron Cross has a tarnished magnetic core, and is also tarnished around the silver frame. Unmarked. Very crisp detail. See photos. Ribbon is the non-combatant version, and very short but in good condition, and about cm long (about 1.9 inches). Iron Cross Second Class (non-combatant version) - Instituted in 1914. Qualification was -Distinguished self not in combat, either through an act of bravery, or a particular meritorious activity. 	<description>1934 Cross of Honour 1914-18 with Swords (Ehrenkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern), and 1936 Army Year Long Service Medal (Wehrmacht Heer Jahr Dienstauszeichnungen) ribbons on two place bar, metal backed. Both ribbons are faded, and the crossed swords device has one bent arm, otherwise in very good original condition. Not Marked. See photos. Cross of Honour 1914-18 with Swords was instituted on 13 July 1934. Qualification was - All citizens of the German Reich (including those who lost their German citizenship as a result of the Versailles Treaty) who rendered military service as a combatant for Germany or her then allies between 01 August 1914 and 31 December 1918. Army Year Long service Medal was instituted on 16 March 1936.
