	<description>Early Handmade Egyptian Personal knife Crane Handle design in Bone and Brass metal with Bone &amp; coloured inserts. The Body of the Bird handle is Bone, The wings are made from Brass metal. And a Brass Guard with inserts. A steel blade 15.5cm wing Some of the Bone in the Handle is damaged from age and use. Full length of the knife is 27cm long and fitted in the scabbard 29cm in total. The blade is about 2.5cm wide at the guard and is sharp. The Scabbard - is made from hand beaten brass with a handmade design on one side. It also has a wooden liner inside the scabbard to protect the blade. Other than the damage to the bone on the handle the knife is in great condition and was probably made around the turn of the Century. Sold a is condition. 	<description>The foundation Winterhilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes (WHW -Winter Relief Agency of the German people) was a Third Reich organisation (1933-45) that set itself the task of help those who were out of work and fighting poverty. The WHW conducted house and street collections during the winter months, and the donations were first distributed to the needy. Because of its high levels of obvious philanthropy, from 1936/37, the WHW became the financial basis for all Peoples Welfare. In thanks for a paid donation, the organisation gave out badges, figures, and booklets. This booklet is one of those. It was part of a series of ten classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Issue in this series is the fairy tale Aschenputtel (Cinderella) by the Brothers Grimm in short form. The booklet is 69mm (2.72 in) wide by 50mm (1.97 in) high. It contains sixteen (16) pages, with a colour illustration every second page. The front cover has quite a bit of damage through wear. The back cover is slightly stained. even so, the booklet is still in good condition, and a very unusual find. 	<description>1939 German War Merit Cross with Swords Second Class (Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern), Slightly tarnished. Not Marked. Bronze cast construction. Crisp detail. See photos. Unworn, still with original brown paper packet. Ribbon has never been attached to the cross. Packet marked on the front - Kriegs-Verdienstkreuz2. Klasse -mit Schwertern And on the back - Grossmann &amp; Co.Wien XV Inside a rectangle. Packet is 48mm (1.89 in) wide by 125mm (4.92 in) tall. Has a usual length of original ribbon, about 240mm (9.45 in) long. Packet in fair condition, with a tear down the seam on one side for about 70mm (2.76 in), that then continues down the front for another 26mm (1.02 in). Flap has partially separated from the rest, for about 14mm (0.55 in), and has folded up. Also pin holes near top on front, back and flap. Instituted on 18 October 1939. 	<description>1942 Eastern Winter Battle 1941/42 Medal (Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42), Tarnished. Most of the silver frosting around the rim, and all the frosting on the helmet is still present on the front. Back has significant tarnishing spot under helmet, where medal is discoloured. Silver frosting on back about 90% present. Not Marked. Zinc alloy cast construction. Crisp detail. See photos. Has a long length of original ribbon, about 210mm (8.27 in) long. Ribbon has never been attached to medal. Front of Packet marked - MedailleWinterschlacht im Osten1941/42(Ostmedaille) Back marked - Deschler &amp; SohnMnchen inside a rectangle. Packet is 58mm (2.28 in) wide and 107mm (4.21 in) tall. Packet is in good condition. It is not torn, but is stained beneath the text on the front. It appears to be a water stain, about 55mm in diameter, and the source of the tarnish spot to the back of the medal. Top of front, back and flap has pinholes. Instituted on 26 May 1942.
